Can presenter Hayley Pearce ditch her mod cons to embrace Mother Earth?

Can presenter Hayley Pearce ditch her mod cons to embrace nature and help the environment? Or does she love her indoor lifestyle too much to embrace the wilder side of life?

Presenter Hayley Pearce reckons she’s really into nature. She loves going for a walk every now and again and enjoys nothing more than driving around the south Wales valleys in her convertible taking in the views. But, with more and more people on her social media feed banging on about the importance of being outdoors and the climate crisis, Hayley realises that she’s lost her connection to nature and that she’s at her happiest when she’s indoors - on her sofa or at the gym. So, to see if she can answer the call of the wild, Hayley takes on the challenge of reconnecting with nature, spending some quality time outdoors and attempting to reduce her huge carbon footprint. 

By facing up to the impact her lifestyle is having on the planet, will she be able to ditch her beloved car and switch to public transport? And can she learn to give up the plastic packaging and grow to love recycled loo roll? 

Hayley throws herself into her challenge by trying out some forest bathing, giving zero-waste living a go, attempting a spot of wild camping in the Welsh hills, joining forces with climate campaigners and experiencing life off-grid with a family who gave it all up to answer the call of the wild. But will it be enough to make Hayley change her ways and give up her indoor life for a more outdoorsy one?
