DJ Edu brings his rich musical knowledge of the African music scene.  
And each week there’s a big interview with star name from music, fashion, football, and more – they’ll be sharing what excites them in music right now. 

This Is Africa also each week features DJ Edu’s Ten in Ten: 10 tracks from 10 different countries in 10 minutes. 
And there’s a focus on new talent every time – the programme will always be introducing up and coming artists from a different African country.

A sibling duo putting Sao Tome and Principe on the musical map

DJ Edu chats to Calema, two brothers from the island nation of Sao Tome and Principe whose latest song has been a big hit on YouTube, and profiles teenage Tunisian rapper FBK.

This week’s guests come from the tiny island nation of Sao Tome and Principe. Calema is a duo of brothers who are riding a wave of success at the moment with their song Te Amo. It has been viewed over 12 million times on YouTube. They tell DJ Edu about growing up in nature, and how their father got them their first big break.
 
The TIA spotlight falls on FBK, a teenage rapper from Tunisia. At just 19 she has achieved celebrity at home, and is having to recruit her fellow students to help her manage her burgeoning career.
