Cities across America have implemented curfew measures aimed at preventing another night of angry protests over the killing in police custody of the unarmed Black man, George Floyd. However, some protesters have remained on the streets in defiance.

Universities and colleges are trying to work out what higher education will look like after the coronavirus. Newsday looks at what it might mean for teaching and the experience of students in the years to come.

From Wednesday, tourists from outher EU countries will once again be able to enter Italy and there's also an easing of restrictions on moving between regions. Nevertheless, the government has insisted this is one of the most dangerous phases of a pandemic, which has claimed more than 33,000 lives in the country.
