This recording comes from the Church of St James, Deeping St James in Lincolnshire. The church based around the now lost twelfth century Benedictine Priory contains a peal of six bells. Bells five and six were cast by Tobias Norris in 1623 and 1624. John Taylor and Company of Loughborough added four further bells in the period 1900 and 1923. The tenor weighs sixteen and three quarter hundredweight and is tuned to the key of E flat. We hear them ringing Double Oxford Bob Minor.
