The presumed Democratic candidate for the US presidency, Joe Biden, has accused Donald Trump of using the country's military against his own people. Mr Biden accused Mr Trump of having teargassed peaceful protesters for a photo opportunity. 

The United Nations is co- hosting a high-level pledging conference for Yemen today to raise urgently needed funds to stop the world’s biggest aid operation from going broke as it struggles to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Authorities in Germany are lifting coronavirus restrictions. As of today gyms, cinemas and pubs will be reopening in Berlin with social-distancing in place.  Chancellor Merkel has said that  Germany has "passed" the Covid-19 test but warned the battle was far from over.
