Danger Mouse has some serious clowning around to do.

Animated series. Professor Squawkencluck's seriousizer is nabbed by Pompom, the fun-and laughter-hating president of the clown planet of Bozoria.

When Professor Squawkencluck's seriousizer ray is nabbed by Pompom, the fun-and laughter-hating president of the clown planet of Bozoria, Danger Mouse teams up with his clown-shaped Bozorian equivalent Cupcake in order to foil whatever dastardly plan is afoot. As it turns out, Pompom intends to use the ray to strip Bozoria of all things amusing, and he kidnaps Squawkencluck and exploits her extreme fear of clowns to coerce her into unlocking the seriousizer's technology.

Danger Mouse and Penfold go native as they disguise themselves as clowns to infiltrate Popmpom's Bozorian lair alongside Cupcake. However, they're too late to stop Squawk spilling the beans on the organic matter that powers her seriousizer invention - brussels sprouts!

With Danger Mouse and Penfold in chains stomping brussels sprouts, Squawkencluck finds herself in the uncomfortable position of being confined to a laboratory with Cupcake, after Pompom orders the pair to get to work on replicating the seriousizer technology. Squawk's anxiety melts away as Cupcake introduces her to Clown Science, and the pair bond before coming up with a plan to secretly turn the seriousizer into a ridiculator.

Pompom's hopes of turning Bozoria into a land of dullery and boringness are well and truly dashed when he finds that the ridiculator has the opposite effect and makes the population even sillier. Having broken free, Danger Mouse and Penfold unite with Squawkencluck and Cupcake in time to take Pompom into 'custardy'.
