Nicola Meighan chats to people making the best of their Friday around Scotland and has a soundtrack to kick start your weekend.

Nicola chats to naturalist, writer and television presenter STEVE BACKSHALL about his CBBC series Deadliest 60 and what we should be looking out for in nature right now. 

As part of BBC Radio Scotland’s Make A Difference campaign, we hear how you can make a difference to people in communities all over Scotland. Today we hear from Amma Birth Companions, a Glasgow based charity which supports refugee and asylum seeking pregnant women and new mums.

As we all get used to life in lockdown and look for new ways to fill the time, reporter Cameron Angus Mackay has taken to teaching his friends guitar through video conferencing! We hear how the lessons are going. 

Saturday would have been Record Store Day, but with current restrictions in place we’re being encouraged to find a new way to show our appreciation for vinyl. She chats to DR DARREN YEATS from Vox Box in Edinburgh about Record Store Day Fill The Gap.
