Qasa asks, is enough being done to protect the elderly from coronavirus?

Qasa Alom gets a round-up of the latest coronavirus news from our reporter Shabnam Mahmood. After that we hear from Imam Suleiman Ghani, who led the first burial of 10 people in the same funeral ceremony known as “Saaf Burial” for the Muslim community. It’s hoped that this would help families who currently have to wait a long time to bury their loved ones. Also, we’ll hear from someone joining NHS for the first time – and ending up on the frontline of the fight against coronavirus. Then Qasa wants to know; is enough being done to protect the elderly from coronavirus? There are some care homes saying they’re not getting enough PPE to protect staff and the elderly. Also, we’ll have our feature ‘Big Debate’s Little Debate’. Asim Siddiq Vine, a Pakistani student studying in the UK to become a GP, want us to discuss why international students are at a disadvantage when it comes to studying medicine.
