Mark Cousins is watching films from 1940.

Mark Cousins tells Nicola about his plan to watch films only from 1940, and none of them are the classics you might think of!

One man who has decided to be quite specific about his time in isolation is filmmaker and critic, Mark Cousins, who apparently for no reason whatsoever has chosen the number 40 to influence his exercise and watching habits, doing exactly 40 sit ups a day and the films he’ll watch will solely be from 1940.
 
One of the ways to pass to the time is to reach into your record collection and listen in full to an album, with no distractions. Nicola chats with Deacon Blue’s Ricky Ross all about Dignity, possibly the best known track from their incredible album RainTown. 
 
Groups all over the country are no longer meeting in person, but over the internet! Rock Choir Leader Charlene Gordon joins us now to tell us more about what they’re up to!
 
If Frozen 2 is on repeat in your household, then we’ll be hearing from one of the film’s producers about this much adored film and why the music is so important to the movies. 
 
We’re all doing what we can to support the NHS by staying at home and staying safe, but one group in Glasgow is helping make much need scrubs for our front line workers. For The Love Of Scrubs Scotland is helping to meet the huge demand for scrubs needed by front line workers, and Holly Baxter-Weir, who’s co-ordinating the effort, will tell us more!

While musicians all over the world are putting on online gigs for fans to watch at home, for the Nevis Ensemble, doing a gig didn’t quite feel like the right fit for them. Instead they’re currently putting together an epic collaborative performance of the Proclaimers 500 Miles – and you can get involved!
