Sir Billy Connolly talks about his new art and radio DJ Stuart Maconie talks about his new book, in which he tells the story of Britain's welfare state and how it shaped his life.

Sir Billy Connolly will be talking to Grant about how his artwork has been translated into sculpture for the first time as an original and limited edition collection called And On Monday, God Made the World, showing at Castle Fine Art in Glasgow.

Stuart Maconie, radio DJ and writer, discusses his new book The Nanny State Made Me, in which he makes the case for Britain's welfare state and tells its story through his own history of growing up as a northern working class boy. 

Comedians Natalie Sweeney  and Jim Smith give us a preview of the Glasgow International Comedy Festival which starts today.

And of course Thursdays feature our weekly Film Review Hour where Grant and critics take a look at what's on in your local cinema this weekend. Today Misbehaviour, Calm with Horses and My Spy are up for review by Siobhan Synnot and Ian Hoey
