Coronavirus: the challenges for BBC Chinese

Coronavirus has brought millions of new users to BBC Chinese news pages.  Editor Howard Zhang explains how they've coped with the challenges of reporting the year's biggest story when many staff are affected by the travel ban, or in precautionary quarantine, and rumours and fake news are rife.   

Gaza's missing treasure 
In 2017, some Gaza fishermen found a hoard of rare coins dating back to the time of Alexander the Great.   BBC Arabic producer Sarah Saey and Gaza journalist Hazem Balousha tell the story.

Can't pay your bills?  Sell the dog!
A Ukrainian MP became a laughing stock when he suggested a hard-up pensioner could sell her "elite" dog to pay outstanding utility bills.  BBC Ukrainian's Irena Taranyuk shares the memes, and the fallout.

India's Shaheen Bagh protests 
Last December, four Muslim women began a street protest against India's Citizenship Amendment Act in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh neighbourhood.  Since then, hundreds more women have joined them, and BBC India's Chinki Sinha has been a regular visitor.
