ON THE PHONE-IN
Reports have resurfaced that a bridge from Scotland to Northern Ireland is being considered by the UK government.  The prime minister's official spokesman said there was a "proper piece of work" being carried out by a "range of government officials".  Some experts have suggested £15bn might be required for the project but others have said that £20bn would be a "conservative estimate".

CAR HORNS
Mumbai police have come up with an ingenious way to keep the city’s unruly honking drivers in check.  It's called the "punishing signal", which connects traffic lights to a decibel monitor, which in turn keeps the lights red for longer the more that impatient drivers toot their horns.  Does beeping the car horn do more harm than good?

HOMELESS WOMEN
According to a new report released last week, Scotland has the highest rate of deaths of homeless people in the UK.  Men make up about three quarters of people living without their own home and on the streets, so it can mean that the issues affecting homeless women can often be hidden.  So what’s it like to be a woman living on the streets?

According to the Daily Mail, some women are being charged up to four times the NHS price for HRT by online pharmacies.  Shortages of HRT began in late 2018 and, according to recent figures, around a million women in the UK use treatment for menopausal symptoms - how serious is the NHS shortage?
