Two outstanding bands play the music of New Orleans.

Jacques Gauthe in retrospect in a memorial album he recorded in 1960 in Denmark; and New Orleans legend Don Vappie finding fellow travellers in London. 


Jacques Gauthe was a French reedsman who settled in New Orleans. To mark his passing, Upbeat Records is issuing a new album which he recorded in Denmark with Peter Nissen's New Orleans Jazz Band.
And top jazz banjoist Don Vappie, in London in 2018 recorded an album with David Horniblow, Dave Kelbie and Sebastien Girardot which will find wide appeal with fans of New Orleans jazz.
