The team hear from drivers stranded abroad despite having paid for what they thought was comprehensive insurance. And is carbon offsetting just a load of greenwashing?

Angela Rippon, Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville focus on those little add-ons that are supposed to make our travel smoother and our conscience clearer, but which sometimes turn out to have unexpectedly negative consequences for travellers. They hear from the drivers left stranded abroad despite having paid for what they thought was comprehensive foreign car breakdown insurance, and from the cruise passengers hit by a drinks bill that was ten times higher than they’d bargained for. And carbon offsetting of flights - is it a great way of saving the planet or just a load of old greenwashing?
