Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir and his battle to fight and raise awareness for MND.

After being diagnosed with MND in 2016, Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir was told he would be in a wheelchair within a year. Instead, he made it his mission to find a cure.

The behind-the-scenes story of Scottish rugby legend Doddie Weir, who was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) in 2016. Doctors said he would be in a wheelchair within a year. He wasn’t. Instead, Doddie battled the disease until 2022 and made those years a mission to find a cure. Fellow Scottish rugby legend John Beattie followed Doddie and his family for two years throughout that fight, gaining a unique insight into the life and mission of the man behind the famous tartan suit.
