A police officer is stabbed in the arm as he tries to stop a convenience store robbery.

In Hartlepool, a police officer is stabbed in the arm as he tries to stop a convenience store robbery, and a policewoman in Wales is mown down by a driver trying to resist arrest.

In Hartlepool, PC Mick Johnson is stabbed in the arm as he attends reports of a man behaving strangely at a local convenience store. The shopkeeper is trapped inside with the knifeman. Despite his injuries, brave Mick must get her to safety. A policewoman in north Wales is mown down by a driver trying to resist arrest but fights to get back on the beat as quickly as possible. And in Bradford, firefighter Phil Warden has his final bout of surgery following ten years of treatment, after a missile thrown through a fire engine window broke his nose in 11 places.
