A group of off-duty doctors and medical students take a trip to the island of Fetlar.

A group of off-duty junior doctors and medical students take a trip to the island of Fetlar. With almost perpetual daylight, they are looking forward to a midnight swim.

The latest crop of junior doctors have to put all their training and experience to the test. Dr Sam Ma has a chest pain mystery to solve when a ship’s electrician is flown to Shetland for emergency treatment. But is it a heart condition or something different? Dr Lalla mentors Dr Sam Potter as she diagnoses a Lerwick man’s skin complaints. She needs a steady hand and lots of confidence as she prepares to use her scalpel. And off-duty, a group of junior doctors and medical students take a trip – via road and two ferries – to the island of Fetlar. With almost perpetual daylight, the medics are looking forward to a midnight swim.
