A unique hospital ship offering life-saving surgery sets sail for the poorest of the poor in Africa. It has just one year to do the impossible - to provide the care these people cannot get any other way.
Years after three children were severely burnt, healing their scars on the Africa Mercy begins with surgery - but it will take months of therapy to give them back their strength, and hopefully their innocence. A young man receives the gift of free surgery to have his large disfiguring tumours removed. But after an emergency blow-out of one his arteries, will he make it through the surgery?
