Mike Silver performs live music and talks about managing to forge a recording career in the music industry for more than fifty years, including being signed for a short time to Elton John’s Rocket Record company. 

Mark Cousins tells Janice about the world premiere of his latest work Alexander’s Film, which will take place at a Neu! Reekie! event next Friday. 

Neu! Reekie! co-founder Michael Pedersen and Zippy Kearney, the keeper of the keys for Bill Drummond’s Curfew Tower in Country Antrim, talk about a new book After Curfew which Michael Pedersen and Kevin Williamson have edited, featuring work by Tam Dean Burn, Hollie McNish and George Gunn. Each contribution was written during time spent by the artists in the Curfew Tower, and Bill Drummond himself explains his involvement with Neu! Reekie! 

Actor James McAnerney and writer Jim Orr talk about their comedy play Bend it Like Brattbakk which deals with the turmoil which occurs when a couple separates and a man has to decide whether to sell his soul to the devil to prevent Rangers getting ten in a row back in the 1990s. 

We hear about Sonnet Youth’s latest theatre creation Thick skin, Elastic Heart, a collection of punchy, contemporary spoken word monologues and group poems that give voice to the millennial generation, from writer and director Drew Taylor and actors Danielle Jam and Robert Elkin. 

Janice’s Single of the Week is Louise Connell, with her tribute to the Cocteau Twins called Careful Unplanned. Louise tells Janice all about her new single.
