As India marks the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi, the BBC’s Gaggan Saberwhal takes us to the places where he lived and stayed on two visits to London, first as a law student and later as a political leader.

Japanese wives in South Korea 
During the Japanese rule of Korea, some Japanese women married Korean men.  After independence in 1948, they found themselves unwelcome in South Korea and unable to return to Japan.  Hyojung Kim of BBC Korean has been hearing their stories. 

A mountain quest for an ancient remedy  
In the mountains of Pakistan’s northern Hunza region, intrepid climbers lower themselves into caves in search of shilajit - a mineral substance known as salajit in Urdu, and valued as a medicine.  Musa Yawari of BBC Urdu trekked into the mountains to find out more.

The long wait for a name 
The Borana people of Ethiopia and Kenya attach great importance to the naming ceremonies for their children, but the child may wait 2 or 3 years before this happens.  Eias Hordofa and Yadeta Berhanu of BBC Afaan Oromo recently went to one of these ceremonies.
