Sister Rosetta Tharpe is a star performer, well known to British jazz fans. Michael Pointon discusses some of her historic recordings from a new Upbeat CD; and Jazz Crusade has two new CDs based on the visit by Sammy Rimington and Big Bill Bissonnette to Denmark in 1993 where they recorded with Peter Nissen's New Orleans Jazz Band.
