A Scottish Land Matching Service  has been launched. It will pair up landowners with new entrants to farming and offer them independent expert advice. The Scottish Government says this will help would-be farmers overcome one of the biggest barriers by helping them access land,  and it'll also address the problem of an ageing farming community.

Rules governing the shooting of wild birds in Wales are about to change. Earlier this year, the campaign group Wild Justice challenged general licences in the courts. In England they were withdrawn and re-issued. In Wales the old licences are going to be replaced with new ones on 7 October, but the British Association for Shooting and Conservation say the changes are irresponsible and confusing. Natural Resources Wales explains what they've changed and why.
