The Stranraer Oyster Festival kicks off this weekend, and with it come the hotly anticipated Scottish Oyster Shucking Championships organised by Seafood Scotland. We chat to Guinness World Record holder “Shucker Paddy” (Patrick McMurray), while Chef Colin Lyle gives us a hands-on tutorial in the studio.

We continue our Park Lives series with a two-part adventure in Glasgow’s Pollok Country Park. Reporter Frankie Vaughan takes a tour of Pollok House, and chats to those for whom the park has become a particularly important place in their weekly routine.

In the age of digital entertainment, Myleene Klass explains why the art of collecting is still a favourite children’s hobby today, and reporter Cameron Mackay takes a tour of the wild garden in Aberdeenshire’s Woodend Barn. 

Kicking off the second hour, we celebrate Roald Dahl Day with the Scottish Book Trust, and after a hugely successful summer, we bid farewell to the Oor Wullie Big Bucket Trail. 

Plus, Nicola goes bat spotting with Liz Ferrell of the Bat Conservation Trust, and Konnie Huq shares her idea of a perfect weekend.
