Every day this week, John Craven and the Countryfile Diaries team - Keeley Donovan, Jules Hudson, Paul Martin, and Margherita Taylor - bring you the most interesting stories of the season.

On the show today, Keeley takes the plunge to find out why the RNLI's latest campaign could save your life if you end up in cold water this summer. Jules is in the Cotswolds discovering how men's sheds are being used to help tackle rural loneliness.

Margherita is in Cornwall getting up close and personal with some unusual furry mammals, with a pioneering project that is reintroducing beavers for the first time in centuries to help tackle flooding. 

We'll be giving you the Countryfile guide to some of the favourite beaches we've visited across the UK.

And Paul's on a detective hunt to discover what kind of feathered friend has taken up residence in his owl box and what he can do to encourage them to come back.
