A close look into the myriad fake user accounts and bots spreading disinformation online

Google has shut down 210 channels on YouTube it said were part of a "coordinated” attempt to post misleading material about the ongoing protests in Hong Kong. Twitter has also announced it would no longer allow ads from broadcasters who were financially and editorially controlled by governments, after facing severe criticism for allowing anti-Hong Kong ads to spread on the platform. This is just a small part of the online world of disinformation, spread by fake user accounts all across social platforms. On today’s World Business Report, Rob Young takes a long look into this dark world.
Also in the show, a gathering of the banking elite this weekend will see central bankers from around the world congregating in the picturesque Wyoming mountain village of Jackson Hole.
