You'll remember yesterday we were talking to Siobhan. She contacted us to tell us about her car being clamped for having had no tax for almost a year. Siobhan bought her car from Charles Hurst three years ago on a PCP agreement. As part of that her car was supposed to be taxed - but an 'administrative error' meant it wasn't done. Until yesterday morning Siobhan hadn't heard from either Charles Hurst or the financial services company they use. She had an update for us this morning.
 
Also on the programme, it is a 'huge shame and injustice' that terminally ill people in Northern Ireland will receive no benefit from a government cash boost to protect palliative care, the words of the head of the NI Hospice. Chief executive Heather Weir was speaking after the prime minister announced an extra £25m of funding for hospices in England. She spoke to Stephen this morning.
 
And, a letter has been sent to Donald Tusk by a number of our local political parties urging him to continue 'defending' the backstop in the face of Boris Johnson's latest calls for it to be scrapped. In a joint letter to the European Council chief, Stormont's pro-Remain parties said the mechanism was 'necessary' to safeguard the progress made since the signing of the Good Friday Agreement. But the DUP has said that it shows that the backstop doesn't have unionist support. Stephen got the views of DUP MLA Jim Wells and Alliance MLA Stephen Farry.
