Guest host Carrie Underwood - fresh from her triumph at Glastonbury! - is the Country Show's guest host this week, playing an hour of great country music old and new.

As regular programme host Bob Harris takes a break, Carrie is the latest of his Nashville friends to provide cover for the legendary broadcaster; others to come include Little Big Town and Trisha Yearwood.

Carrie Underwood is one of the most successful female singers of all time in any genre, with over 65 million records sold. She has 7 Grammy Awards, 9 CMA Awards and is a Guinness World Record holder. She has just completed a sold out UK tour, and her current album "Cry Pretty" is a worldwide chart topper. 

This is her Radio 2  presenting debut.
