Both countries are in dispute with the US: China over trade and N Korea over nuclear arms

Xi Jinping has begun the first visit to North Korea by a Chinese leader in fourteen years, where he's expected to hold discussions with Kim Jong- un on North Korea's nuclear programme, as well as economic issues.

The Dutch prime minister has warned the remaining candidates in the race to lead Britain's governing Conservative Party against a no- deal Brexit.  

New Zealand has launched a scheme to buy back semi- automatic weapons banned after the mosque attacks in Christchurch.
