Today they’re off to Cluny House Gardens near Aberfeldy, home to Wendy and John Mattingley.

Wendy talks about her childhood memories of growing up in these woodland gardens and John explains how to go about choosing and looking after small trees if you don’t have much space in your own garden for the larger varieties.

Chef Kirsten Gilmour demonstrates a simple fennel salad, perfect for when fennel is in season right now while Nicola offers advice on how to grow fennel and other garden herbs.

Carole Baxter shares some simple ideas on how you can create a small greenhouse or cold-frame in your own growing space.
