Police and protesters clash in Hong Kong

BBC World Service - World Update, Police and protesters clash in Hong Kong

Police beat back demonstrators as protests over an extradition law turn violent.

There have been clashes in Hong Kong between police and protesters angry at plans to make it easier to send people to mainland China for trial. Police used tear gas and pepper spray as demonstrators tried to get into the territory's assembly building.
