Whether in politics, business, public services or faith communities what do we want from leaders? How do we judge their strengths and how prepared are we for them to show weakness?

The country is polarised over Brexit.  The queue for the keys to Number Ten grows ever longer.  And one of the most controversial presidents in US history is about to make his first state visit to the United Kingdom.

On All Things Considered this week Roy Jenkins and guests are discussing leadership. What do we want from our leaders?  Not just politicians, but also those in charge in business, public services and the faith communities.

The Bible presents the stories of many leaders regarded as outstanding, but it isn’t afraid to name their flaws.
