More of us are getting married on farms, according to one wedding insurer.

Fancy hay bales at your nuptials? Matching bride and groom wellies? John Lewis Finance says that 1 in 8 of the weddings it insured this year are in a barn or farm.

Greenhouse gas emissions in the UK would be to cut to almost zero by 2050 under new government plans to tackle climate change. Britain is the first major economy to propose the target. It means emissions from homes, transport, farming and industry will have to be avoided completely. The other possibility is to offset the gases by planting trees that absorb carbon or attempt to capture it and store it underground. One example of a project underway is Drax in North Yorkshire, the largest power plant in the UK, which has started capturing some of the carbon dioxide as it moves through the plant's chimney.

Would you get married on a farm? John Lewis Finance says that 1 in 8 of the weddings it insured this year are in a barn or farm. That's doubled in the last 5 years the insurer says. We don our wellies to investigate the appeal of hay bales at your nuptials. 

Over 90 Wyevale Garden Centres have been sold in the last year. The owners of the group, Terra Firma, has confirmed the entire chain will be sold by the end of the year.
