Jazz Club marks the 80th birthday of Rodney Foster, and an earlier event in New Orleans 

Rodney Foster at 80. Jazz Club joins in the celebrations. And Big Bill Bissonnette brought together his favourite French band with American musicians for a great session. 


Rodney Foster with his Jazzmen in the early 60s were the first local band to make a commercial recording. Still swinging his shillelagh, Rodney at 80 still has a lot of music in him. Jazz Club joins the celebrations. And Big Bill Bissonnette, the American jazz supremo, had the pleasure of creating a band around his favourite French musicians in New Orleans in 2002, teamed with several North American players to record an album of dance music New Orleans style.
