Schools in NI might have to drop to a four-day week if funding crisis continues – claims local head teacher. 

Some schools might have to drop to a four-day week if the funding crisis continues.

BBC research shows that almost half of all Northern Ireland schools were in budget deficit last year. 

The head teacher of a secondary school in Londonderry says teachers are struggling to cope and there might be no option but to cut the number of hours pupils are in the classroom. 

Michael Allen runs Lisneal College and he's on the line now, along with commentator and Conservative Party member Frank Shivers.
