In Witness History this month we find out about why it took until 1971 for women to get the right to vote in Switzerland, hear how an ancient Chinese text was the key to the ground-breaking anti-malarial drug Artemisinin, and go back into the archives to discover a story about an African-American engineer who got stuck in the USSR. We head around the world in twenty days with one of the first people to circumnavigate the globe by hot-air balloon, and find out about the creation of Neve Shalom - Wahat al-Salam, an Arab-Israeli community formed in Israel as a pioneering experiment in peaceful co-existence in the long Middle-East conflict.
