"To be confronted with your own mortality at 41 is a very strange feeling" - journalist Paul Martin tells Nolan about his devastating cancer diagnosis.

We started the show in a different way this morning. Not with a debate, but a personal story. He's on this show regularly as a showbiz commentator, but this morning he'll talk about something very personal - a cancer battle. Paul Martin told Stephen his story this morning.

Also on the programme, the group representing around 20,000 manufacturers in the UK is telling Theresa May to Revoke Article 50 if she cannot strike a Brexit agreement this week. Make UK has written to the PM and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn saying it's critical for businesses and their work forces that they bring the current Brexit uncertainty to an end. Theresa May is due to ask the EU for a Brexit extension on Wednesday. Make UK executive director of policy, Ben Fletcher, spoke to Stephen over the weekend, and we got reaction from Alastair Campbell and DUP MLA Jim Wells.

And, another ATM robbery as thieves used a digger stolen from a near by building site to steal a cash machine from a shop in County Londonderry. It is the latest in a series of ATM thefts on both sides of the Irish border, with the PSNI saying it was the eighth such incident in 2019. Stephen spoke to Glyn Roberts, Chief Executive of Retail NI, SDLP MLA Dolores Kelly and Police Detective Chief Superintendent Darren Evans.
