A financial therapist invites couples in Miami to talk honestly about their finances and their relationship.

And yet with financial disagreements being a major cause of divorce, it’s critical that we do.
 
The BBC Money Clinic is inviting couples to talk honestly and openly about their finances and their relationship with an expert.
 
Financial therapist Jean Theurer will coach two couples in South Florida who want to stop arguing about money.

Ruth Alexander invites couples and families into the BBC Money Clinic to discuss their relationship with money and each other with local experts in both Miami and Nairobi.
 
Like it or not, money is at the heart of our most personal relationships. It's also at the root of a large proportion of relationship breakdowns. Being able to talk honestly and openly about money is critical, and yet it can be hard to talk about. Often, we don't understand our own entrenched attitudes to spending and saving, where they come from, and how they're affecting our lives.
 
This programme aims to change that, giving people the chance to discuss and explore their money issues, worries and goals.
