Ceremonies are being held in Rwanda to mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the genocide

Rwanda is commemorating the twenty-fifth anniversary of the genocide in which about a tenth of its population was killed. President Paul Kagame will light a remembrance flame at the Kigali Genocide Memorial to mark the start of a week of commemorations and a hundred days of national mourning.

Also on the programme: Israeli PM vows to annex settlements; and Algerian protesters demand end to regime after president Bouteflika's fall.

Joining Julian Worricker to discuss these and other issues are guests: Shrabani Basu, author and journalist, and Ryan Heath, political editor of the online publication, Politico.eu, a pan European website based in Brussels.
