MPs voted late into the evening on eight different options, and all failed to pass

MPs voted late into the evening on eight different options, and all failed to pass.

British MPs have voted on a series of alternative courses of action on Brexit, but none of the eight options commanded a majority. The one that came closest to success was a motion calling for a commitment to negotiate a permanent customs union with the EU. A second phase of the non-binding process is planned for Monday.  

A new survey in the Democratic Republic of Congo suggests a quarter of people in the cities worst affected by the current Ebola outbreak do not believe the virus exists.
