The nine remaining make-up artists are challenged to produce some make-up movie magic.

The professional brief sees the MUAs head to Leavesden Studios, where they are met by Oscar-winning special effects make-up artist David Malinowski. Known for his work on films like Fantastic Beasts and Bohemian Rhapsody, he was awarded an Academy Award and a Bafta in 2018 for his work transforming Gary Oldman into Winston Churchill for Darkest Hour.

David wants to test the MUAs' prosthetics skills by setting up a character test day. The MUAs work in teams, with each given a character brief and a range of prosthetics and make-up. They have two and a half hours to bring a pair of creatures to life, before David judges the finished product on green screen.

The next day in Glow Up HQ, the MUAs are challenged to dream up their own character which could belong in their favourite childhood story. With the most experience, prosthetics shop worker Mathieu feels this is his week to shine, but the judges are concerned that he risks playing it too safe. And after finding herself on the backfoot, Paige needs to work extra hard to impress the judges.

After two and a half hours, the judges feed back on an incredible array of gingerbread men, living trees and sea witches, before deciding which two MUAs must compete in the elimination face off, which will result in one MUA packing up their make-up kit for the last time. Show less
