Martel Maxwell meets former astronaut Carl Waltz and Nasa engineer Heather Paul.

Martel Maxwell gets the low down on all the best tourist attractions underground with travel writer Peter Naldrett.

We hear about the launch of a project to mark the centenary of the death of Sir Hugh Munro, who first detailed the list of Scotland’s peaks over 3,000ft .   Walkers are invited to take part in a munrobagging challenge with a difference and artist Eddie Summerton tells Martel all about it.

Martel meets former astronaut Carl Waltz and NASA Engineer Heather Paul and finds out about the design decisions used in space exploration that keep astronauts healthy and able to perform their mission duties successfully.   

Travel writer Peter Naldrett chats to Martel about his book, DAYS OUT UNDERGROUND  which explores the secret world beneath our feet, from caves to nuclear bunkers, abandoned mines to secret railways, ancient crypts and labyrinthine tunnels.

And reporter Cameron Mackay goes on his own trip underground to the Blair Street Vaults in Edinburgh.

Ahead of her first ultra-marathon, Sam Little who is visually impaired and registered blind, takes a short break from training to tell us about getting into running and what it’s like running with a guide.  

It’s British Science Week and Karen Mackenzie puts her fear of lab coats behind her and has the experts – and also some school children – explain to her what’s cool about science.  

LATA 65 is a street art project for the young at heART!  It’s part of this year’s Nuart Aberdeen festival and Portuguese curator Lara Seixo Rodrigues will present a series of workshops aimed at the over 65’s. Martel chats to Adrian Watson from Lata 65.

Edinburgh's Festival of Ireland prepares to paint the city emerald green to celebrate  Ireland’s rich culture for St Patrick's Day.  We hear about this volunteer run Festival which is now in its 9th year.
