Sharon Rooney talks to Janice Forsyth about her part in new BBC Three TV show Jerk.

Nadine Aisha Jassat talks about her debut poetry collection Let Me Tell You This and we have theatre from Heart of Darkness in Glasgow and The Funeral Director in Edinburgh.

Janice will be talking to Scottish actor Sharon Rooney about her new TV show Jerk – a new BBC Three Show following the life of Tim, a man who knows that having cerebral palsy means that he can get away with almost anything.

Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness has had a makeover for the stage and has been retold as a journey of a Congolese woman travelling through war torn Europe – Actor Morven Macbeth and Artistic Director of Imagining the Dog theatre company Andrew Quick tell Janice all about it. 

We hear about another play - The Funeral Director at the Edinburgh Traverse, a tale about a Muslim funeral parlour which tackles issues of religion and sexuality.

Nadine Aisha Jassat talks about her debut poetry collection Let Me Tell You This.

The founder of the Everyday Sexism project Laura Bates tells Anna Welander about her new Young Adult novel which was written using real testimonies from young women who experienced sexism.

Our Single of the Week is Limbo by Joesef – he joins Janice in the Glasgow studio.

We hear from two performers at Scotland’s International Poetry festival StAnza before it kicks off next week – poet Joe with the Glasses, and Glasgow singer songwriter Megan D who performs an acoustic song for us live in the studio.
