What is the future of the car and could it one day be replaced by self-driving pods or boxes in our cities? Motor manufacturers at this year's Geneva Motor Show aren't sure, but they are hedging their bets.

The taxman is sending out huge bills to people who were paid under a scheme that was legal until 2016. The average demand is for £13,000. But many of the 50  thousand or so people on the receiving end say they were hoodwinked by employers and shouldn't have to pay. 

Did this winter seem gloomier to you? Some local authorities have been turning down the brightness of street lamps to save money, while others have switched from yellow sodium lamps to white LEDs, which shed less light.
