Comedian Jack Docherty talks about his upcoming appearance at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, in ‘Miekelson and McGlashan – Serious Men’.

Grant Stott talks to the brilliant Jack Docherty about his upcoming appearance at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, in ‘Miekelson and McGlashan – Serious Men’. His hilarious show unites two of his best-loved comedy creations: Scot Squad's Chief Commissioner Cameron Miekelson and the fiercely patriotic McGlashan from the critically acclaimed, award-winning Channel 4 shows Absolutely and Scotland In A Day.  

Dr John Cooper Clarke - The original punk poet returns to Scotland in support of his recently released collection of poems, The Luckiest Guy Alive – we’ll hear all about it.  

Emerging singer-songwriter, Alice Merton talks about her sudden rise to fame with the soulful European chart-topper “No Roots” and her radiant debut album 'Mint' - which is just out.
 
Grant also talks to Critic and author, Mark Fisher who has created a ‘discovery book’ for the band XTC:  including contributions from all the members and interviews with fans.

And Scottish singer, songwriter, composer and essayist, Karine Polwart will preview the upcoming release of her 'Scottish Songbook' album -  a brilliant cross section of Scottish pop with a few standards and a sprinkling of pleasant surprises!
