UK lawmakers are calling for tougher laws to force tech companies to crackdown on fake news and disinformation

The UK Parliament's Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee is calling for tougher laws to force tech companies, particularly Facebook, to crackdown on fake news and disinformation. Ian Lucas MP, who sits on committee, explains why he thinks Facebook is failing when it comes to fake news. Saudi Arabia has pledged to invest $20 billion in projects across Pakistan. Mohammed Sohail, an investment broker based in Karachi, tells us more about the deal. A number of potential US presidential candidates for the Democrats are talking about putting taxes up. Does this reflect a fundamental shift in US politics, which could have profound implications for the US economy? The BBC's Michelle Fleury reports from New York. It's one year since the formation of the activist group "Time's Up" - Hollywood’s response to the #MeToo Movement, which fights sexual harassment, assault and inequality in the film business.
