Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina won with a landslide victory.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has secured her third consecutive term with a landslide victory, according to Bangladesh's Election Commission. The opposition has condemned what it called a "farcical" election, marred by violence and claims of intimidation and vote rigging, as we hear from the BBC's Yogita Limaye. Another election today is for a new president in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It was hit by a series of delays that have left people frustrated. We speak to Congolese economist Jean-Paul Shungu. Next week US President Donald Trump is expected to prohibit American firms from buying equipment from the Chinese telecoms equipment makers Huawei and ZTE. Cyber security expery Kevin Curran tells us why this might not be such a good idea.
