British actress Olivia Colman talks about playing two queens; Queen Anne in The Favourite and Elizabeth II in The Crown.

On this week’s Arts Hour with Nikki Bedi, British actress Olivia Colman talks about playing two queens; Queen Anne in Yorgos Lanthimos' latest film The Favourite and taking over from Claire Foy playing the older Queen Elizabeth II in Netflix series The Crown. We hear from the Icelandic star of the new fantasy blockbuster Mortal Engines Hera Hilmar about filming fight scenes and stunts. Creator of the hip hop musical Hamilton, Lin-Manuel Miranda reassures that the new film Mary Poppins Returns won't change the way you feel about the original Mary Poppins.

Also, popstress and TV talent show judge Rita Ora talks about her Kosovan heritage and actor David Oyelowo reveals how his Nigerian parents felt about his career choice. American author Meg Wolitzer discusses dealing with bad reviews and rapper turned filmmaker Boots Riley explains how he pitched his debut feature film Sorry to Bother You. And there's music from Korea thanks to Kyungso Park and her gayageum. 

Joining Nikki in the studio is film critic and commentator Tara Judah and from Leicester, director Suba Das discusses his latest theatre production; an adaptation of Dr Seuss’ classic rhyme The Cat In The Hat.
