Join Fiona Stalker for a winter special all about the joys of the cold and the dark.

After the festivities have come to an end, winter can drag out ahead, cold, dark and uninviting. In this special edition of Out for the Weekend, Fiona speaks to people who make the most of this time of year, and finds out how we can all learn to enjoy the Scottish winter. 

Featuring interviews with Gabriella Bennet, author of the Art of Coorie, storyteller Alasdair Taylor, and Horatio Clare, author of The Light in the Dark, we learn how different people cope with the dark nights and short days. We also have ideas of how to spend your time, from wild swimming and pounding the pavements to taking a moment to look up at the stars.
