Call You & Yours - How has loneliness affected you?

Fifty five thousand people took part in a survey by the BBC and a third said they felt lonely often, or very often, with younger people the worst affected.  What's your experience of this?  What were the reasons behind your loneliness?   How has it affected your life?   What have you done to try to tackle it?   Sometimes it can feel fine being alone, but at other times it can be really difficult, when what you really need is more companionship.
