Department store John Lewis has reported its profits have fallen to almost zero in the first 6 months of this year. Sir Charlie Mayfield, the Chief Executive, says discounting across all shops has affected John Lewis' margins. We analyse the figures with Catherine Shuttleworth from Savvy Marketing. 

Korean Skincare is the latest beauty trend. K-Beauty focuses on having the perfect skin, and to look as if you don't need makeup. A stark contrast to the trend of the last few years to wear lots of make up. 

Since the high profile court ruling in the US that the weedkiller Monsanto caused a groundskeeper's cancer, we look at whether retailers and companies are taking any action in the UK.

More building societies are offering students buy for uni mortgages - using their parents as guarantors. They allow students to borrow up to £300,000 on a 100% mortgage, with no deposit required. Of course there are conditions. But it seems to have caught on and we'll look at the market for buy-for-uni mortgages.

A group of MPs has called on rules to be tightened on recycling which requires big online retailers like Amazon and Ebay to pay to recycle the packaging they use to send parcels. Mary McCreagh, Labour MP and Chair of the Environmental Audit Committee joins us.
